CULTIVATED DEVOTION
The warmth of clay,
the blush of earth,
A vessel given storied birth.
In every line, a steady hand,
The ancient pulse of sea and land.
Cultivated Devotion is perhaps the most grounded piece in the series. The warm, terracotta-hued glaze is flecked with dark, iron-rich inclusions, suggesting a more rustic and artisanal origin. The Seigaha waves here feel less like water and more like the tilled earth, bridging the gap between the ocean’s rhythm and the potter’s devotion to the craft.
The earthy warmth of this plate makes it a perfect companion for hearty, comforting dishes. It is an excellent choice for serving a rustic French terrine or a selection of bold Italian charcuterie. In a Thai context, it provides a robust stage for the charred, smoky flavours of Gai Yang (grilled chicken) or a serving of rich, peanut-based Satay. For a British classic, it is the ideal size for a warm fruit scone with clotted cream, the iron-flecked glaze echoing the traditional stoneware of a country kitchen.
Details Scalloped rectangular form.
